Happy new year! Terrific poses on Zoe in this one.

The print vs mobile formatting is a perennial question. I try and meet in the middle by using a format which fits both - typically this means it's a little big for print and a little small for mobile, but then again my art is very simple and doesn't need as much room to breathe.

Happy new year to you, too! Thanks very much! It's interesting--seeing other people talk about Zoe suddenly makes her seem like she's made the jump out of only existing in my head to being out in the world (which, I guess is in fact true since the illustrations have been created and shared).

Ooh, yeah that's a smart approach. But good observation about your art not needing as much room to breathe.

I found another example of the tweener "pages that can also be read on phone screens" format here - https://www.reddit.com/r/comics/comments/1ht8lqr/oc_handson_networking/

Definitely works better with a minimalist cartoony style I think - the panels you did in this update would all have to be full-page to have the same impact.

Thanks for finding this other example! Yeah, I see, only one panel wide so it doesn't get shrunk down too bad on a mobile screen.

But yeah, that cuts down a lot on the expressive possibilities of how panels and illustrations relate to each other on a page.

Also want to highlight how much I love Zoe’s sense of style - I would wear that outfit lol :P
